Design & Build Quality
The very first thing you notice when you pick up the Samsung Galaxy S26 is how light and compact it feels. At just 168 grams and 7.2mm thin, it sits in a completely different class from the Ultra (214g) and Plus (192g) in the same lineup.
Samsung has unified the design language across the entire S series this year. The Camera Island — a pill-shaped housing grouping all three cameras together — which first appeared on the S26 Ultra and Z Fold 7, is now on the S26 too. The S25 had individual camera rings; the S26 looks noticeably more premium and clean.

Display — 6.3″ FHD+ 120Hz
The S26’s display is almost identical to the S25 — a 6.3-inch FHD+ 120Hz LTPO AMOLED, up just 0.1 inch from before. Peak brightness of 2600 nits keeps the display clearly visible even in direct sunlight. Colors are sharp and vivid — Samsung AMOLED quality is never in doubt.
Key note: the S26 has FHD+ (1080p) while the S26 Plus gets QHD+ (1440p). Practically, the difference is minimal at this screen size — 1080p looks perfectly sharp on 6.3 inches. But if you’re a pixel-peeper, the Plus is worth considering.
The in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is fast and accurate. Face unlock is also available. Outdoor visibility is excellent thanks to the high peak brightness.
Performance — Exynos 2600 (2nm) — World First

The Samsung Galaxy S26 runs the world’s first 2nm Exynos 2600 processor — a historic milestone. The jump from 3nm to 2nm is technically very significant: more performance with less power consumption.
On Geekbench, it sits close to the Snapdragon 8 Elite. GPU performance is neck and neck. Antutu lands around 2.9–3.0 million. The Ultra’s Snapdragon scores higher (3.7–3.8M) but real-world difference is minimal.
Most importantly: heat management is vastly improved. The Exynos 2200 was heavily criticised for overheating — the 2600 has largely resolved that issue.
The Geekbench GPU score lands around 24,000 — clearly better than the S25. In real-world testing, Genshin Impact ran better on S26 — fewer frame drops and lower temperatures compared to S25.
For BGMI and COD Mobile, game optimization for the new chip is not fully complete yet — the S25 could hit 120FPS which the S26 currently cannot match. Samsung will optimize this — future updates are expected to unlock better gaming performance. Hold on if gaming is your top concern.
Storage speed is excellent — UFS 4.0 delivers 4000+ read/write. Base storage is 256GB this year — last year still had a 128GB option. A meaningful practical upgrade.

Camera — 50MP System — Dependable & Refined
Camera hardware is identical to the S25 — 50MP main + 10MP 3X telephoto + 12MP ultrawide. Same megapixels, same setup. But there is a clear improvement in AI processing.
Main camera: Colors are noticeably better than S25. Skin tones have finally improved — more natural and warm. Detail is sharper — hand texture, fabric weave — all better resolved on the S26. Low-light photography shows real gains.
Ultrawide lens: Even wider than the S25 — the expanded field of view is visible at the corners. One caveat: shadow areas in ultrawide shots tend to be darker than ideal — room for improvement.

Small touches, but genuinely useful over time.
The Audio Eraser upgrade was impressive in testing. Played a noisy vlog on YouTube, switched on Audio Eraser — the background noise actually reduced. Genuinely value-adding.

💬 Our Honest Opinion — No Sugar Coating
The Samsung Galaxy S26 is a safe and smart incremental upgrade. It’s not a revolutionary phone — the spec sheet gap from S25 is not dramatic. Camera hardware is unchanged. Charging speed is unchanged. Display resolution is unchanged.
But the real story is the Exynos 2600. This is Samsung’s redemption moment. The Exynos 2200 was heavily criticised for heat and performance issues. The Exynos 2600 proves Samsung’s in-house chip can genuinely compete with Snapdragon. The 2nm process brings better battery efficiency — a long-term advantage.
Galaxy AI features are fully present on the S26 — Now Nudge, upgraded Audio Eraser, Photo Assist, Creative Studio. A complete AI experience in a small phone — that is the S26’s real selling point. All of this in a device you can comfortably use with one hand.
