Salary & Pay Scale

💰 Pay Level-3 — ₹21,700 to ₹69,100 per Month

Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Matrix Level-3 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission. Starting basic pay is ₹21,700 per month going up to ₹69,100 at the maximum of the scale.

In addition to basic pay, CRPF personnel receive: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), Risk Allowance, Ration Money, Free Accommodation, Medical Benefits and other central government perks. The effective gross monthly take-home for a new Constable is substantially higher than the basic pay figure.

All posts are combatised — selected candidates will be sent for basic training at CRPF training institutions. Services of those who fail to complete training may be terminated.

Qualifying in Nature

Complete Step-by-Step Selection Process

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Race event — 5 km / 1.6 km depending on trade. Conducted via RFID and digitalized equipment. No appeal allowed. Ex-Servicemen are exempt from PET.

Physical Standard Test (PST)

Measurement of height, chest (male) and weight. PST appeal to DIG appellate authority allowed on same day only.

Computer Based Test (CBT)

100 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours. Negative marking. Final merit is based on normalized CBT scores. All PET/PST qualified candidates appear for CBT.

Trade / Skill Test

Shortlisted candidates after CBT appear for practical trade test. Qualifying in nature — minimum 20/50 marks required.

Document Verification (DV)

Original documents including Matriculation certificate, Domicile/PRC, Caste certificate (if applicable), Driving License (for Driver), ITI Certificate (for MMV) etc. verified.

Detailed Medical Examination (DME) / Review Medical Examination (RME)

Medical fitness check by CRPF Medical Officer/Board. Includes eye examination. Those declared unfit in DME can opt for RME on the next day. Final result based on CBT merit of medically fit candidates.

💡Tie-Breaking Rule: In case of equal CBT marks — Part A (Reasoning) marks compared first, then Part B (GK), then Date of Birth (older candidates ranked higher), then alphabetical order of names.

Step-I: Registration

Register with your valid email ID, mobile number and name (as in Matriculation certificate). Login ID and password will be sent to registered email. Session lasts 30 minutes — re-login if needed.

Step-II: Fill Application Form

After registration, re-login and fill: personal details, address, qualification, domicile state & district, post/trade preference. Upload photo (JPG, 35×45mm, 50–100 KB, date printed, no cap, both ears visible) and signature (JPG, 50–100 KB, black ink on white paper).

Pay Application Fee (if applicable)

After form submission, pay ₹100 via online mode (UPI/Net Banking/Card). Check payment status at “Payment Status” link in candidate login. Unpaid applications will be rejected.

Save Printout

Take a printout of the submitted application for your records. Admit cards will be available for download on the CRPF website before each stage — NOT sent by post.
