Visit https://ssc.gov.in and complete OTR process. Mobile number & email verification via OTP required. Aadhaar authentication optional but recommended.

Fill Online Application Form
Login with Registration Number and Password. Fill personal, educational, and other details. Select exam centre preferences (3 centres anywhere in India). Choose posts (Grade C, Grade D, or both).

Capture Live Photograph & Upload Signature
Use webcam or mobile app to capture live photo (no cap/spectacles, plain background). Upload scanned signature (JPEG, 10-20 KB, 6cm x 2cm dimensions).

Analogies, similarities/differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, arithmetical reasoning, verbal/figure classification, number series, non-verbal series.
General Awareness
Current events, India & neighboring countries, Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity (including Indian Constitution), Scientific Research. Questions are of everyday observation level.
English Language & Comprehension
Vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, correct usage, writing ability.
๐กFor VH candidates (40%+ visual disability): No component of Maps/Graphs/Diagrams/Statistical Data in the paper.
๐ฏ Selection Process & Tie-breaking

Step 1: Computer Based Examination (CBE) โ Total 200 marks, negative marking 0.25 per wrong answer.

Step 2: Shortlisting for Skill Test based on CBE marks (category-wise).

Step 3: Skill Test in Stenography (Qualifying).

Step 4: Final selection based on CBE marks (Skill Test qualifying only). Tie-breaking: Part III marks > Part II marks > Older age > Alphabetical name.
๐If multiple shifts of CBE are conducted, scores will be normalized as per SSC’s normalization policy.
๐ Post Preferences & All India Service Liability
Post preferences will be collected through Online Option Form before declaration of First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA). Candidates not submitting preferences will NOT be considered.
๐All India Service Liability (AISL): Selected candidates are liable to serve anywhere in India. May be allotted State/UT/Zone and may need to acquire proficiency in local language for confirmation.
